Being new to higher education, I needed to quickly get myself up to speed with best practices and find the most talented people with whom to connect. CASE has provided a wealth of opportunities to see great work in action and connect with other advancement (fundraising, alumni relations, marketing and communications) professionals.
District I is seeking talented writers who can help produce news content for the website. Working with the Communications Committee Co-chairs, these individuals will produce profiles of DI volunteers and presenters, report on regional events, and work with conference speakers to repurpose presentations into blog content. Time commitment is approximately two hours per week.
The Communications Committee is seeking social media specialists who can develop and implement creative campaigns using DI’s Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn channels to raise awareness of our awards programs, scholarships, volunteer opportunities, regional programs, and the annual conference. District I is seeking Website Content Managers to work with the Communications Committee to help us maintain forward momentum with the new website. Working with the news writers and blog editors, as well as the Communications Committee Co-chairs and the Conference Marketing Co-Chair, these individuals will help keep both the content and the navigation current, crisp, and continuously improving throughout the year (and not just during the Annual Conference period). The Operations Committee for the 2017 CASE District I Conference is seeking session ambassadors for this year's conference. This is a wonderful opportunity to practice your public speaking skills and get to know our notable presenters. Session Ambassadors welcome attendees, introduce speakers, and thank session sponsors. Session Ambassadors must be present throughout the entire one-hour session and are asked to check-in at the Volunteer Table before and after their particular session.
The Operations Committee for the 2017 CASE District I Conference is seeking volunteers to run the registration desk. You will be the first person to greet conference attendees. Shifts are in 1 to 2 hour increments, during which you will hand out registration packets and name badges.
The Operations Committee for the 2017 CASE District I Conference is seeking volunteers to assist with the conference's hospitality and special events offerings. This is a great opportunity to get a behind the scenes look into event planning and logistics. Volunteers will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of the particular special event and may be asked to assist with greeting guests and VIPs, handing out name-badges or assist with special tasks.
