Parents are more involved than ever in the lives of their children right up through high school graduation and beyond. As students move on to college, how do schools engage parents at the appropriate level to help build both community and philanthropy, particularly at leadership levels? And how do you build relationships with parents who may be across the country or across the world?
This session will take the audience through the steps of building a Parent Program with limited staff. Hear from two members of Wheaton College’s Advancement Team who created parent communications, developed philanthropic roles for parents, and secured donors and volunteers building a successful fundraising parent program that grew by more than 200% in two years. Attendees will understand the what, why and how for creating their own program to increase their parent leadership giving and parent giving overall.
