Pre-Conference Program

2019 Pre-conference Program

Enhance your conference experience by adding a specialized pre-conference track to your conference registration.

This year, CASE District I is pleased to offer three new pre-conference programs to the annual conference—Women’s Leadership, Diversity and Inclusion, and New to Educational Advancement

The new pre-conference tracks were designed to provide advancement professionals with insight into important topics facing our profession.

Pre-conference will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, with three sessions, a luncheon, an afternoon keynote speaker, and a networking reception.

Diversity and

New to Educational Advancement

At over 2/3 of the international membership of CASE, women are a majority of the advancement field, making international conversations around the gender pay gap, parental leave policies, and the path to executive leadership especially important to the future of the profession.

This session will create space for broad conversations around these issues, as well as targeted plans for career advancement for women-identified people at your institution.

Advancement professional at all levels are encouraged to participate.

Sponsored by CCS Fundraising.

Acknowledging the experiences of alumni from marginalized populations, understanding the impact of institutionalized white privilege in higher education, and reconciling our own biases are key steps towards rethinking and redesigning traditional engagement and fundraising models in the 21st century and beyond.

In this self-reflective workshop, attendees will work with their own institutional data relating to diversity and inclusion at their workplace and discuss how to tangibly strengthen and engage with marginalized alumni.

This session is designed for advancement professionals at all stages of their career who are new to educational advancement. Are you brand new to the profession? Did you spend a decade working in health care before your role at an independent school? Is this your first role in higher education? This session is for you!

Meet with peers from across District I and learn insider tips, terminology, and best practices from a faculty of seasoned experts in educational advancement.
